hello! My kit was designed for people who wanted to know more on how to take care of a cat beyond the surface levels. It focuses more on environmental enrichment, individual personalities, and emotional needs rather than just basic necessities like a litter box, food, etc. I'm very passionate about cats because I have 2 of my own. I think it's very important to know more on what a cat truly needs for it to be able to live a good life. :)
My "found" item is a cat toy. I chose a cat toy because playing is very important for cats. It benefits their physical and mental health by keeping them fit and keeping their minds sharp and free from boredom. For my personal identity item, I chose nature. Nature has always been a big part of my life, and I think it should also be a part of my cats. My dad built a spot on my patio that my cats can wander to anytime they like without going outside completely. I feel like it helps them have a space to relax outside of my house. No person or animal should be crammed in a house their whole life. For the item that I made, I made a "house full of love." Inside the house are stick figures with big hearts with 2 cats. A loving environment is crucial for cats because it provides them with a safe, secure environment where they can thrive, fulfilling their natural instincts and emotional needs through companionship, proper care, and a sense of belonging, which contributes to their overall well-being and happiness. My "fit-ish" item is a comfortable bed. I take sleeping extremely seriously, and my sleep space is very cozy and aesthetic to look at. I feel like it's only right to have my cat's sleep spaces to look the same. A cat's sleeping space is also very important because they are most vulnerable when sleeping, so they instinctively seek out areas where they feel safe and secure, which allows them to fully relax and rest. That's why in all of my cat's favorite hiding spots, I have a comfortable bed for them. And my last "item" is an owner with a loving heart who will be understanding and willing to work with the difficulties that come with owning a cat. Cat's rely on their human caregivers for all their basic needs like food, water, shelter, medical attention, and most importantly, companionship. This allows them to feel safe, secure, and experience the positive emotions like contentment and joy through the bond with their owner.
